The Paradox of Samson

Goede Dood / Good Death | 26 sep 2025 | 00:06:04

Welcome to another episode! Today we look at the story of Samson and the interesting way God uses him despite his flaws. Now, Samson was chosen as a Nazirite from birth—set apart to deliver Israel from the Philistines. Nazariteship (see Numbers 6:1-21) entailed strict rules, such as not drinking wine, not touching dead bodies, and not cutting hair. But, oh boy, did he break some rules.Alright, let’s talk about redemption. Romans 5:8 reminds us of God’s love—Christ died for us while we were still sinners. He took the punishment we deserved. And three days later He rose from the dead, overcoming sin and death, so that we can be free and have Eternal Life. It’s mind-blowing, isn’t it, this idea of grace amidst our brokenness?
