Lindsay Clancy's Retrial Has No Charge and Prosecutors Won't Explain
04 nov 2026 · 00:15:50
Lindsay Clancy will be tried again. That's what prosecutors told Judge Sullivan on November 2nd. When Sullivan asked what the charge would look like, Jennifer Sprague said it depends on how the court rules. Kevin Reddington asked why the state can't name a charge after eleven jurors voted for acquittal by reason of insanity. In the same hearing, Reddington requested that Sullivan stay on for the second trial, despite having just argued that Sullivan mishandled the first. Sullivan turns 70 in June. Prosecutors filed to gag Reddington from discussing the case publicly. The holdout juror went public before the hearing, telling a TV interviewer he was sure Lindsay was methodical. The holdout's lawyer says her client is the only juror being targeted and that no juror in Massachusetts should have to worry about investigation for a dissenting vote. Motta and Dreeke on all of it.
