Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell: Verdicts, Death Sentence and Appeal
06 nov 2026 · 00:14:41
Lori Vallow Daybell is serving life without parole in Idaho, plus two Arizona life sentences. Chad Daybell is on Idaho's death row. Part 4 of this docu-series covers how the cases moved through four courtrooms, and the appeal Lori has now taken to the Idaho Supreme Court.
In 2023, an Ada County jury convicted Lori of murdering her children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow, and of conspiring in the death of Tammy Daybell. In 2024, a separate jury convicted Chad of the same murders and sentenced him to death. In 2025, Maricopa County juries convicted Lori of conspiring to murder her husband Charles Vallow and of conspiring in the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux.
Tony Brueski covers the competency delays, the removal of Lori's first attorney over a conflict of interest, the speedy trial fight, the key testimony at each trial, the victim impact statements from Kay Woodcock, Colby Ryan and Tammy's family, and Lori's televised jail interview.
The part closes on Lori's appeal: the arguments about the lawyer she lost and her speedy trial right, the state's answers, and what a ruling could mean.
