Why Lindsay Clancy’s Defense Wants the Holdout Juror’s Phone
04 nov 2026 · 00:33:15
Why does Lindsay Clancy’s defense want the holdout juror’s phone records? At the November 2nd hearing, Kevin Reddington argued the phone could show the man researched the case, which the defense says would have given Judge Sullivan a lawful reason to replace him and avoid the mistrial. That matters because a mistrial over the defense’s objection only allows a retrial when there was no reasonable alternative. Prosecutor Jennifer Sprague told Sullivan he looked those jurors in the eyes and credited their answers. The holdout’s attorney said every juror was allowed to keep a phone. A fellow juror says he scrolled while others tried to talk to him. If the charges are thrown out, Lindsay Clancy can’t be tried again for the deaths of her three children. I walk through both sides and what’s next on November 16th.
