This episode we interview student Erika van der Linden about her master thesis research to a crucial metal for our energy transition: cobalt. There is a story of the energy transition and that's a story about the mining of cobalt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - the DRC. Mining causes local environmental pollution and human rights abuses. Is there a way out?
